2008 06 14 Update on Trail

Postby farrunner on Sat Jun 14, 2008 3:46 pm

I have been running/hiking the various trails that are part of the Blodgett Open Space. What I plan to do is to combine all the different GPS files into one kmz file that can be loaded into Google earth so that you can see them all overlaid on the map. I am also updating the webpage with the various sessions in what I think is a more useable format. If you have suggestions, please let me know.

Also, a couple of warnings...on 6/11/2008, a mountain lion was seen along the main trail somewhat below the water tank. I did not see it myself but a person coming down had just seen it.

Also, I noticed on that day, glass on the parking lot. It looked like someone had gotten their window smashed. I have no details but caution is advised not to leave anything valuable in the car and / or especially in plain view.

I always carry my wallet with me in my water holder so that there is nothing in the car of value.
