For those who are not into the longer runs such as the Falcon trail, there are shorter routes or you could take a bit of a run/hike from the Blodgett AFA trail head (see my page at farrunner.com). In this one, you can do a 2 mile loop and see quite a bit of wild flowers also.

Starting at the water tank on Blodgett Drive, head due north through the 2 gates. At about 1/4 mile, there is a large vent pipe for the water system, and a trail takes off to the left. This trail is about 1/2 mile and has a mucho wild flowers to enjoy. you can double back and double your pleasure and it will be about 1 3/4 miles. Other trails in the area did not have the same abundance of flowers.
