This was my first trip into the Hole in the Wall area when there had been some weather. 2 days ago we got several inches of snow and I wanted to see what effect this would have on the trail conditions.
It was a warm day with temps in the 50s, snow had melted in most of the exposed area but there was still slushy conditions in the shade. The first .25 - .50 miles were somewhat muddy and wet. The mud was the clinging type clay so I would predict that this could be an issue any time there is wet or melting snow conditions. Most of the remaining trails did not seem to be of the same type of soil and was not "muddy"
