Colorado Springs Trail Running

Ran the Stratton Open Space from the North Cheyenne Canon parking lot, north towards Mesa, looped back on the Upper Meadows Trail and picked up The Chutes. I came back via the Chutes and the access road.

There was a minimum amount of snow and mud on the Upper Meadows Trail. The Chutes was clear except for about 100 yards below the house near the top. Be careful there as it had about an inch or two of snow on top of some very hard ice. The snow was firming up but you could slip ont he hard stuff underneath.

Otherwise this section of our trail system is ready to be explored in 2008.
