Ran Rampart from the Rainbow Gulch trailhead on Rampart Range Road. The trail is in nice shape, lots of flowers, and the bog areas on the north are not very bad at all. I would suggest some good bug spray - we make our own natural (non-chemical) spray that works well. The parking at the dam was packed, so if you get up there early enough, I would advise the RG trailhead if you are OK with the extra 2.9 miles.
