Ran the Falcon loop yesterday. Started at 0 marker (rest area parking lot) and ran clockwise. Trail is in excellent condition, everything is thawed and dry. Had one bit of confusion. Just after the 12m marker after crossing street and back on trail about 5 mins later I lost the trail. There is pipline construction and the service road has been graded for heavy machinery to get back there (near powerplant.) Anyhow, lost the trail maker and had to backtrack (with only about .7m to go).

Scott,

That means you finished with a long uphill. Bravo! It's time to get over there.

Hi Scott,

Glad the trail is in good shape. Like Jerry said...we have to get over and run it. So let me think this out. If you started at the real trailhead at the top of Academy Drive which in my GPS map was mile 5. So that would have been mile 4 on my map(google earth from webpage). I will have to check it out. About mile 2 on my map, there is a road that leads to the Water Treatment plant and the Tesla hydroelectic plant at the mouth of Monument Creak. It seems to me when I last ran it, I do recall some construction in that area but since I ran that area for many years before they added it to the falcon trail, I did not get confused.

Bob
