Today, this trail is a mess. Greenland gets more snow on average than the springs so what I saw there today was drifts of snow in some areas, slushy to icy snow other area, and mud in most places where is was slushy or wet.

This trail is not of crushed rock so it will be muddy any time there is snow melt or rain.

My guess is that this trail will either be like this in warmer spells or icy when it gets colder. The eastern side of the loop seems to drift heavy and will retain snow until late in the spring.

Post subject:  Saturday Greenland Trail

Hello Bob, I met you today at the Greenland trail trailhead. Thanks for pointing me to your site. I will visit and use it in the future! One thing I thought I would point out to you. After I registered I tried to log in but could not. It was not until I checked my email that I saw an email that prompted me to respond to the email in order to activate the account. Perhaps it would be best to make that more clear after the log in takes place. I only tell you this because in our discussion today you mentioned that you were in the process of fine tuning the user interface. Just a thought, and not meant to tell you how to lay out your site, but I thought you would like the "user" feedback. Thanks again! Missy

Post subject:  Comments are always welcome

I am glad you found the site. Many times, I think people forget the name and never seem to get here.

I agree, the signup process is a little convoluted. I just went through the process today to test it because someone else had also commented about this to me directly. I don't have a lot of control over this but I think I can add some directions to the Welcome area to alert people to how this works.

I hope you find this useful and encourage others to join in. The more people we can get commenting on the trails the better information that will be available. I find that I cannot run all the trails often enough to keep them up to date as often as I would like.

Also, I do not have a problem with expanding the scope of this to include other trails if it makes sense. Just as you come south to try various trails (and I know of others in Denver also), some of us venture north for new trails to explore.

Bob
